Hello everyone,
I found in an old PC this card:
I could not find any information on it knowing that there is no reference on it. So I would like to know if any of you know what its purpose is?
Thank you in advance !

Looks like a RAM expansion card, 128KB+parity.

Quite useful back in the day if you had an XT based PC which maxed out at 512 KB RAM. Adding this card would then increase your total RAM to 640 KB.
Alright guys thank you for your answers.
So if I understood well, this card is useless with a computer that have more than 512 KB of RAM right ?

It looks to be in good condition though.

XT doesn't support 16-bit ISA. Has to be AT at least.

Yup, funny enough the original IBM AT maxed out at 512k on board (the XT/286 supported 640k, like the later XTs).

Yes, you're absolutely correct. I wasn't paying much attention to the picture itself but, more the topic being discussed and didn't notice it was a 16-bit card 😜
