Hello fellow Vogoners!

This this is a shoutout / call for help to all owners/former owners of the Yamaha DS2416 DSP Factory and general data horders 😀

I have been looking for quite some time for the factory CDROM (Introduction CDROM I believe it is called) for the DS2416 DSP Factory. Amogst some demos and and old, outdated drivers there is a very small program on the disc that is called "Patch.exe".

It is used to initialize the card and route inputs to outputs of your choice, as the standard settings cannot be changed under Windows itself. I know that there are other solutions/possibilities to achieve this by using one of the DAWs that support the DSP Factory, like for example Logic, Cubase, et cetera. You can even use the small program called LUI for the same purpose and it suits the same needs and is even way more sophisticated than the small tool from Yamaha.

Even though, it would be handy for me to acquire the aforementioned little program, and to complete the driver collection of the hardware that I own.

Please, if any of you has the DS2416 in his/her possession and does have the driver CD that came with it, please consider uploading it into the VogonsDriver database. I have searched for weeks, high and low for the original driver CD, alas to no avail.

Thank you for reading.

I think I have that CD : http://www.tmeeco.eu/BitShit/YamahaDS24162.jpg
Unfortunately I'm not at home and won't be there for another month so I cannot upload it.

Ah Tiido, I kinda hoped that you would come to the rescue <3 as I know that you have some of this Yamaha hardware yourself.
IIRC you are in Norge at the moment visiting your "better half"? I shall wait patiently for your return and would be forever thankful if you could image the CD and upload it into the VogonsDriver archive 😀

I have amassed some Yamaha sound stuff over the years. I have a boxed SW1000XG and AX44 too but they lack the software unfortunately.
And yes, that's what is going on. When I return and don't forget I'll make the contents of the CD available. I didn't even know there's such a problem on it, I have been using Lui instead all this time.

I'm not sure if there were multiple versions of the Introduction disc, but the "patch" utility is nowhere to be found on mine:

It's possible that it was included on a floppy-disk that the manual mentions (and which I lack), but can otherwise just be downloaded:
