Man, I love these! I have been trying to get Dutch magazines from 1999 to +- 2003. I worked at a popular computer store back then and would love to see some of the ads again from back then. Also for prices etc.

EDIT: Keep them coming :)

Thank you for putting in the effort and scanning these.
I always enjoy looking at these old adverts.
Although Dutch isn't my native language, it's fairly easy to translate these into my own language .

A year and a half ago I put a couple of boxes with Computer Totaal issues- 1998 through 2009 or so - for -free- on Marktplaats; there were no takers en they ended up in the trash.

Very nice ads, and dutch language is not the problem fr me.
I grew up near Cologne and we used to watch dutch TV sometimes for some US serials.
Reminds me I still have a bunch of german magazines (c´t and DOS international) from the late 80s and early 90s that are waiting to be digitalized.
Still have some issues of mc magazine featuring the homecomputers of mid 80s.

Your average 2019 lawnmower has vastly more computing power than most of the ads in this topic ;)

But which way the market will develop is an open question. Not only are custom PCs and discrete components totally niche now, people - and payments - are getting more international. Sooner or later I'd expect this business to move to the parts of the EU with cheaper labour abd real-estate.

I'm afraid that Amazon is going to take it all in the end when it comes to selling computer parts online. American monopolies are already so common in the online world: Google, Facebook, Microsoft, eBay and the list will only get longer. Now we need a retailer that takes it all :dead:

I'm loving these! Will use some of them for build inspiration! I found it hard to remember what kind of systems were common back in the day.

Also, after a few years of looking, I finally found a picture of the case I had my childhood 486 in (a 'Planhold' PC), it's this one from the Recom / Fascom ad from 1996:

Now to find the actual case...
