I'm tearing my hair out trying to find one that'll match my Teac 3.5" floppy drive.
scouring all the usual sources, but all the existing ones are either black, white or some unwholesome offwhite/beige color.
anyone have a source for these?

Sorry, currently only light-grey here.. I had one in a darker gray once, though.
It was part of a streamer device, I believe. You know, these 3,5" QIC or Tarvan devices.
The drive bay was built with metal piecees, if memory serves. Not sure how they are called.
Maybe 3.5" to 5,25" mounting adapters for ZIP drives do show up in gray on eBay, not sure.
If nothing shows up, what about a paint job ? Acrylic paint or car paint might work fo this. 😀
