ISA IDE controller not working ?

Okay , I got the the IDE controller to recognize the hard-drive by changing out the IDE ribbon.
Now I have a NEW problem.
The floppy drive does not want to work now.
I changed out the floppy drive and floppy drive ribbon cable but same problem.
The floppy drive is unresponsive. It does not seek or anything.
The drive is good.
The problem appears to be with the IDE controller.
I have all the jumpers set to default ( enabling everything )
I also tried to disable everything with no luck.
Any ideas ?

Take out the card and see if it's a coincidence.

Screw period correct; I wanted a faster system back then. I choose no dropped frames, super fast loading, fully compatible and quiet operation.

As you can see from the photo of the boot screen the serial ports and parallel port is not recognized either.
But the hard-drive has been detected fine.
