Today's trip to the fleamarket produced this beauty:

A beautiful GF4 Ti4200, apparently made by PNY but actually a MSI 8870, maybe rebranded, maybe someone swapped the cooler at some point. Anyways, the joy was short-lived, as I've noticed two missing inductors. Comparison between my card and photo found on the net:

The missing inductors are 4.7 uH, of a type I call "ferrite tower" for the lack of the proper term. I don't have these parts handy, and here's my question(s) for people more knowledgeable in the field of electonics - can I substitute them with inductors recovered from old motherboard VRMs (adding or removing turns as necessary; I have the means of measuring the inductance)? AFAIK, the toroidal cores found on motherboards are iron powder and not ferrite. Is there a big risk in doing so? Is there a more suitable replacement?
