I have a Gateway G6-400 with Phoenix BIOS version 4 release 6.
On the bootup screen, it has a bitmap logo of the Gateway " cow" logo which I hate.
I have another motherboard, of a G6-233, which has a much nicer Gateway 2000 image there.

Is there any way to change this image? With something custom or the Gateway 2000 image I prefer.

I know this might involve replacing the BIOS, but that shouldn't be a problem as long as it is possible,

I remember there was software that would allow you to do just that. Replace the logo in the bios. I have no idea what it was called but maybe you can find it through google? You then just flash the bios the normal way after modifying the logo.
