Some serial port headers have 135792468 cable order aka staggered, usually seen on post 486 hardware while old stuff is having 123456789 cable order aka sequential.

Oh I see. Why not just order some ribbon cable, some 10-pin IDC headers, and make your own? It's not hard, and you can make them just as long as you need and no more.
You can also take one of the wrong pinout and re-terminate it. Whether you do that on the DB-9 side or the IDC side depends on whether you're more confident in your soldering skills, or that you can remove the IDC connector's back cover without breaking it. 😀
