I got a computer at an estate sale, and I was trying to transfer a few things to it with a floppy.

But seemingly this just isn't happening. What I write on the source computer can't be read on the destination. I checked and it does read at the source system. I was having issues with it (I/O device error, multiple drives, cables) but I can't see any obvious issue now. I *think* the estate computer is just fine as far as its drives.

By the way, it's an Epson SMD-340. On the rear are some jumpers (I'm not at all familliar with jumpers on floppy drives) declaring that the drive can be set to EISA or AT; it came in EISA. Could that somehow matter? What does that even do?
