Yeah... We do not have a flag code like America. So we can use our flag on anything without doing anything illegal. However, there are special versions of our flag, that are reserved for national use, and all the members of our royal family have their own flag. It is forbidden to use it by normal danes. The split-flag is reserved for state use.

If the flag is not in good shape, there is however this single rule. That it shall be disposed of in a propper way, so it can not be used for a cloth or patching clothes or anything else. And there are this unwritten rule, saying that if the flag touches the ground, then Denmark will end up in a war. Else... Pretty much anything goes with our flag. Put it in a dog shit, on a birthday cake, on a car, on a x-mas tree or whatever pleases you the most.

I like the dog shit option. Personally I would rub my flag in a shit TBH.

This below is a thing of beauty... Right? 😜 And there is not really that many places in the world, were this can be done. Just try and do it with Stars and stripes or Union Jack. How about the Saudi Arabian flag? 😁
