I got this 486-board, PWA-PL4600C suppsedly from a Compaq 7106, a longer time ago and use it mostly for programming and "Warcrafting". But on and off I wonder if I could change the BIOS to allow me to go beyond the typical OEM bare bones features?

The chipset is a UMC UM8881/-8886 one which may be worth trying to "unlock" the bios given this is even possible. Seems it also has a VIA keyboard controller.

The board seems to be a modified UP8810(A)-VIO...

Any ideas?
