I want to restore my IBM PS/1 486dx-50 with ISA slot motherboard and 1993 bios.
I received it with-out a hard drive.

I want to put an IBM hard drive in it but I don’t know which ones will work?

Models I am looking at

IBM or IBM Deskstar IDE 340mb. thru 30gb.
1) DTLA series
2) DCAA series
3) DJNA series
4) DTTA series
5) DSAA series

I don’t think the Newer Smart IBM hard-drives are compatible with this computer ?

Originally, I think it came with a 250mb hard-drive.
Not sure which make, maybe IBM or Western Digital ?

Which drives do you think will work ?

Many later Deathstar models should be avoided

My PS/1 had a standard IDE hard drive, if you want something close to original (period wise) grab a Random quantum Fireball
540mb models I had excellent luck with but really any good running drive is fine
