60thn birthday is coming up and I'm torn between two choices of prezy for myself. A serial optical mouse(no specail mouse pad required or a compact keyboard. Both are around the $35 mark. The mouse is brand new and the keyboard is used with one key replaced/ The key is has a little differance as far as the function and number looks.Colour is a perfect match though so not a big deal to me really. The only issue with the mouse is it is not beige it's some swanky greeny black flouro arrangement.

Any way what are your opions. Mouse or keyboard?

I think I had a keyboard like that - awful squishy rubber domes unfortunately. If this is similar, I'd go for the mouse...

There is something more awful than that. Look at arrow keys. BTC 5100C, i'm right?

Do you need a compact keyboard? If not I'd say you'll get more use out of the mouse, everything accepts serial mice
