Good evening everyone's health;

After many many attempts and tests I managed, even if not totally, to use the Xtide ite V.4 on my Olivetti M24, bios V.1.36;
I also enclose the video link.

As you will see, at a normal start, in the Boot phase of the CF in Xtide,
there is in the Xtide menu an exchange between C>> HDD [C] to D>> HDD [C].
Then the famous error 1h appears! and boot into A:
In this case if I try to enter the Cf, with C: it gives me a reading error, but the unit exists.

If instead, at the start, when the Xtide Menu appears, I press the D key on the keyboard
from C>> HDD [C] changes to D>> HDD [D] and everything works,
boot from Cf on Xtide lt, and CF is detected as C:

But I don't understand why the Xtide bios can't do this automatism,
without me having to press the D button.

I've tried various formatting, also done Fdisk MBR, but without solving.

Cannot quite make out but, do you have a hard drive (MFM) controller still installed in your M24? In other words, was there previously a hard drive in that computer?
If so, unplug that controller and set you XT-IDE to address C800h.
Then, boot up with a DOS boot disk and type in FDISK /mbr (ensure that FDISK is on the boot disk).
Reboot again (without the boot disk in drive A:) and see what happens.

I have resolved!
My m24 have two floppy Drive.
Floppy drive B have a conflict with Xtide.
I HAVE disable Floppy Drive B, via Dip Switch on Motherboard, and the problem is solved.
Thanks

Thanks for letting us know it's sorted. I'm sure it will aid others in the future.

Sonicexenia, if you're still out there, can you please look at my post:

Olivetti M24 and XT-IDE

I'm having problems getting my M24 to recognize an XT-IDE card. I thought you might know what I need to do. Thanks.

Se non vede il menù del BIOS della xtide di solito sono errati i dip switch sulla stessa.

If you do not see the xtide BIOS menu, the dip switches on the same are usually incorrect.
