That's the good one in my experience, you can even test SRAM cache chips with it.

I've programmed chips from a 1993 laptop in it and the software is pretty good.
Since the seller is xgecu, that should not be a fake 😀

Second that. 'It just works' for just about any EEPROM (or other flashable device) you throw at it. Bought one a few months ago and tested it against a pile of EEPROMs I still had from the 90s and 00s. Only ones I couldn't read or write were some relabeled EEPROMs from PC Chips boards. Probably could have done those too if I'd been able to figure out what they really were.

I got a used Genius G540 off ebay because it was a little bit cheaper, and I regret my decision because it is such a hassle to set up... the manufacturers website being offline by now doesn't help either... but oh well, at least I got one of those cheap EPROM erasers with it ^^

+1 get the TL866 II

I have one of those (TL866) and it has worked very well for me, definitely recommended.

I've got both the G540 and the TL866 and I'm glad about it. 😀
Just wished they had a dedicated PSU each (I'm using USB 3 ports as a workaround; they provide more power).
The TL866MK2 lost support for writing 21v/24v/25v EPROMs or so I heards..

PS: Some private person fixed the G540 software's Engrish, by the way.
