If I would buy an arctic cooling heatsink for socket 370 I would preferably go with the copper silent 3. It seems hard to find. I could get a copper silent 2. How much better is the model 3 compared to model 2.

Looking at the design of both I would say that the 3 might dissipate heat a bit better and also pull the heat from the CPU a bit better.

2 has a copper plate that is soldered onto the aluminum heatsink while the 3 has a copper core.

3 also looks like it would blow more air across the components right next to the socket although I was never convinced that blowing warm/hot air onto stuff is a decent way to cool them.
