Hello everybody,

I have this motherboard with native PS/2 support through a cable-lead.
As soon as the mouse is moved after loading its driver (either a DOS driver or Windows 3.11), the keyboard stops respondng and the mouse does not respond either.

I tried with 2 USB PS/2 compatible mice. One is a logitech, the other one is a Microsoft.
Keyboard is an IBM PS/2 connected to the AT Keyboard connector using an adapter. This works fine if the mouse driver is not loaded.

It looks like the AT Connector is somewhat connected to the PS/2 connector and something doesn't jive between them when a mouse is connected to the PS/2 port AND the driver is loaded.

Any ideas ?

page 3-13 do you have IRQ12 (ps2 mouse) Enabled ? I do not see any other references in the manual for ps2 mouse. Have you tried a real PS2 mouse (not a USB/PS2 compatible) ?

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Yes, IRQ12 is enabled.

I tried with it disabled, same thing ! The mouse is detected, but as soon as I move it, keyboard stops responding.

I do not have a native PS/2 Mouse on hands.
