I imagine that most of you are already aware of Retro Hardware's channel on YouTube. I'm curious to know if any of you might know why the engineering sample Socket A motherboard that appears at about the five minute mark in this video has what looks like an embedded K6-2 CPU on the board?

AMD reused the K6 style heatspreaders for chipsets on some boards.
But that looks like the same ceramic base as a K6-2, and at one point you can even see the pins from edge on.

I guess you just don't notice it on most dual socket A boards because there's usually a heatsink on top.
...or they just stuck an actual K6 on there to handle the bus logic. 😜
