Hey all!! I have an extremely nice 3DFXCOOL Alpha that was designed for a Pentium II but I'm really wanting to throw it on my 850MHz Pentium III.. Is there any possible way to get a slot one Pentium II cooler to fit on a slot one Pentium III without modifying the crap out of the heatsink? I'd rather not do that to such a rare cooler.

I guess you mean to use a SECC cooler on a SECC2 CPU, because that's the actual difference (SECC2 was used for later PIIs as well).

How does the underside of that cooler looks? It's hard to tell from the picture if it was made to fit on SECC or SECC2.

Well it's currently in transit so I don't physically have it yet, the seller said I might need to drill holes in the heatsink to properly fit it to a PIII but I'd really rather not do that 😒 I can post pics later on when I get it.
