Here in Latvia that Gelid fan is priced similar to Noctua, 3-4€ difference, but availability is poor.

Can confirm that the low noise adapters just put a resistor on the 12v line. Bear in mind that even at 3000RPM these Noctua fans are almost alarmingly quiet -- I had to keep checking for about the first day I had it that it was still spinning.

Sounds Excellent! Looks like a potential for a little OC headroom, 1.5GHz maybe. 😀
