Hi all,

I downloaded the official drivers for this from the Dynabook website (it's for my old Satellite Pro 410), but while the first .exe executes, it doesn't seem to do anything, while the second .exe just craps out and says it can't run.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Otherwise, the ESS688 is supposed to be compatible with the Soundblaster Pro. Does anyone know if it's alright to just install 3.1 drivers for the SBPro in place of the ESS688?

Thanks!

Tried these? - http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?file … menustate=46,36

BTW: ES688 alone isn't enough for SB Pro compatibility, it must be coupled with an OPL3.

Strangely enough I installed Winodws 95 onto a Dell XPi CD last night with ESS688 sound, the drivers listed on vogonsdrivers.com didn't work for me, they installed but the device didn't work properly. In the end I managed to find a download of the DRV and VDX files so I could install it manually via device manager and it worked fine.

The drivers that worked for me are here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2BOLB8yC3mn … HdCdHpRZVk/view
