Intel no longer publishes drivers for this board and I can't find them on the web. Looks like there are several users on this forum with this board. Can you please help me find the latest BIOS 1.00.18.CS1 and also latest drivers for whichever OS you have (Win9x, NT, 2000, etc.).

Thank you.

Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k, 48k+, 128k, +2
Amiga 1200, 68030/40mhz
386DX/33, ET4000, SBPro2, MT32
Dual PPro/200, Millennium II, Voodoo 2, AWE32, SC-55
etc.

Any Intel driver for i440FX chipsets should work.

Thanks for the advice, I tried searching for i440FX and also just 440FX driver and the only thing I could find were drivers for Win95, but no other OS, e.g. Win98, NT4, 2000. Is it possible that these OS's already have the drivers built in?

Thank you, got the BIOS. The Drivers link is only for the optional onboard sound card, Win95 chipset, but not any other OS. Thank you though, little by little I'm moving forward.

The only OS that doesn't have proper 440FX IDE drivers is Win95. There are no other chipset drivers needed, I have a Intel Venus and a Asus P6NP5 P.Pro boards that work fine with any standard Win98se install. Here is the Intel PIIX IDE driver for Win95. You also could try the Triones driver set in the driver library: http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=398&menustate=0

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Hi, yes, I was able to successfully update to generic Intel BIOS 1.00.18.CS1, download the bios and follow the instructions in bioinstr.txt file that's included with the bios to make a bootable floppy with the bios. After that shut down the computer, move jumper 4-6 to 2-4 and power on. It will come on with no video output, no beeps, after a while it will reboot and you will see missing Gateway 2000 bios logo and instead you'll see Intel version .18.

I attached all the drivers and BIOS and docs I collected for this board.

In retrospective, I wish I didn't upgrade the BIOS. I would have preferred to keep the nice Gateway 2000 boot logo and for large disc support I ended up using Promise SATA 150TX2 Plus PCI card anyway with its own BIOS. The motherboard chipset gave me problems when combining CD-ROM with SATA-IDE Adaptors, even when on different channels. The Promise card is also faster.
