It's a 5 pin header, I have a 5 pin PS/2 bracket, the pinout is correct (I have checked it with a multimeter against the motherboard manual) - yet when I plug in an optical PS/2 BIOS I initially get the red light under the mouse to turn on briefly, for a second or so, before it shuts off again, and CUTEMOUSE can't find a PS/2 mouse even with the /P switch (I tried 1.91, 2.0 and 2.1).
Unfortunately the BIOS does not expose USB mice to CUTEMOUSE either.
So my questions are:
1. Is it normal for optical mice to exhibit this behavior with older PS/2 ports?
2. Is there a good DOS USB mouse driver I can use with a USB optical mouse?
