Ok, let me get this out of the way. Yes I bought the game just want to "nuke" the nagging questions like "what year did jerry rice score the winning td
on page xxx" before playing the game. That said if this out of line delete the post my feelings won't be hurt.

The game is FBpro95 which I'm playing in Dos with a P3 450. Runs fine but the questions via copy-right are a pain so decided to use neverlock
which in DOS gets an "runtime 202" type error. Which "slo-mo" dos apps you recommend for this? Do have a P2 233 I can stick in there but
may not help. Yes there are Dosbox variations for the game but I'm "bullheaded" & want this to work as is.

The common fix for Runtime 200 errors is to patch the executable. There are many patchers available for this since it's just a matter of replacing one particular hex string with a different hex string. (XVI32 includes a macro for it.)

...Of course, Runtime 202 might be a completely different thing from Runtime 200, but it might be worth trying anyway.

Why don't you just patch it using DOSBox and copy the patched version back to your P3?

Runtime-error 202 is actually a stack overflow and could be due to a wrong or missing stacks statement in your config.sys.

Yeah I downloaded a few things that might patch the executable, figured it might be a speed issue though.

Didn't think the config.sys would be the issue but I am using special PIF setup for the game so maybe just booting into DOS with
a generic setup may help. Dosbox? Yep probably going to come to that.

Well for the record I ended up switching over to my XP rig and used dosbox to run the neverlock program. Got no runtime errors & seemed
like it ran ok but it did not remove the copyright, Sierra games are tough!

Wish I hadn't lost the manual, it's no where to be found on ebay sold by itself. The whole game is sold for close to thirty bucks but I aint paying that.
Maybe I could drop GOG a line and they could add this game to their store for 5.99 or whatever. Believe they have other Sierra games listed.

To be clear, did you try entering a blank answer in response to the question?

If Neverlock didn't work, there has surely got to be some kind of fix out there somewhere, or at least a manual scan. It's not that obscure.

I don't think any old game with something like an NFL license has ever been re-released decades after it originally came out.

Yes entered a blank plus a few "colorful metaphors" after that.

Tried looking at replacement docs but all they had was the "98" version. Close but no cigar.

Didn't consider the NFL license rights, that's going to be a big "no-no".
