I am wondering if there are any good dos version sound demo programs for sound.

I think when I got my 386 as a kid it came with some dos utility that had some 3d graphics and music and sound effects to demonstrate the sounds card abilities.

I would like a dos program like this to compare different cards and also something you can switch on and runs by itself while I can sit back drink a beer and enjoy the 90s show, apart from watching dune 2 intro

Back in the day, I loved me some "Unreal" by Future Crew. https://files.scene.org/view/demos/groups/fut … os/unreal11.zip

I'd start looking here: http://www.pouet.net/prodlist.php?platform%5B … e=1&order=views

Check out DOSBox Distro:

a lightweight Linux distro (tinycore) which boots off a usb flash drive and goes straight to DOSBox.

To piggyback on this post, anyone have any recommendations for a short demo (like <= 10 seconds)? It would be really cool to put a little animation/sound as the last part of autoexec.bat.
