Hello

For my Win98SE build I am currently using a SBLive soundcard with Dos drivers for the SB16 emulation driver. This works very well but I recently acquired a Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro.

My system is made for two things, dos and 3dfx era games (mid to late 90's early nillies).

I would assume the Audigy 4 Pro outputs better sound than the SBLive but I am a bit scared for Dos compatibility. The SBLive was fairly easy to setup, not sure if the same will be the case if I replace it?

Stick with the Live for 98se. Use the Audigy in a nice XP build.

Cheers

Yes the Audigy will have cleaner sound. but IMHO not enough to justify the hassle of setting it up, and doubt you'll notice much difference in dos at all
Not saying don't use it. I've a 2 ZS in just about all my 98 builds. But I would wait till next rebuild if everything is working fine currently.
