I know this boarders on modern hardware, but I have a collection of high end agp graphics cards and I want to be able to test them without any bottlenecks.
A friend has given me this board and I am wondering if it supports a q6600 or if not, what would be the best CPU it does support? Also is 4gb ram a possibility?
My 4650 and 3850 need to stretch their legs 😀
A quick look on the net shows a thread on reddit with a running q6600. Still, when boards have different revisions, you still may be out of luck. Check the bios version and the voltage regulator, that might give some indications.
Thanks for that, I have bit the bullet and updated the bios and bought a q6600 and it seems to work great! If anyone stumbles upon this in the future (unlikely I know), you can use a q6600 with a p5vdc-mx (revision 2)

Do you know if it would support QX processors with unlocked multiplier?
