Hi all! Trying to upgrade my P70's for no reason other than I like to try and max out hardware.

I have two; a GE Fanuc WorkMaster II (same machine but with black plastic) and a 5545T (Japanese variant).

I have these two CPUs, though if there's something better I'll keep searching.

My question is...

How do I properly get the 486SXL2-50 to work? Proper speed, cache, etc.

Does the mathco have to match the speed? I currently have a HIIT 40MHz, is that OK to use with it?

The Fanuc has a 32MHz crystal next to the CPU and the 5545T has a 40Mhz. Is this what dictates bus speed or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Not sure where to begin here I guess! I've read every page on the net about upgrading these machines but I'm often left with more questions than answers!
