I'm looking for some information about S478 Pentium 4 engineering samples. Are all of these CPUs multiplier unlocked?
If so, are there any software utilities that will allow me to set the multiplier at runtime, via DOS command line, or will it only work with specific motherboards anyway? (For example, Gigabyte GA-8KNXP would be such a board that apparently let's you change the multiplier in BIOS)
And does anyone have experience with slowdown utilities like 'Throttle' with Pentium 4? My aim is to slow down a S478 machine to 386 levels, i.e. have it play Wing Commander I (and everything inbetween as well, obviously).
