Hi Vogons,
i got hold of (again) my very first PC recently (last time was in 91 i think) in stellar condition (besides the Dallas RTC, but i will piggyback that with a coin-cell according to the guides available). My machine comes with the 1024Kb ram and i recently got hold of a couple of 1Mb sticks (just like what nztdm described here: Success! Convert regular SIMMs into IBM PS/2 proprietary SIMMs) to modify.
But what would a potentially good configuration look like? Does all four slots need to be filled with the exact same amount of memory per stick (i.e 4 1Mb sticks) or does it work with two 256 and two 1Mb`?
