Motherboard: RedFox AGP-ALi (Baby AT)
Northbridge: M1542 A1
Southbridge: M1543C B1
CPU: AMD K6-2 475MHz running at 500MHz (i've tried setting setting to 450MHz) 2.2v
VIDEO: Nvidia FX 5500 PCI
RAM: 2x128MB PC 133(Passed multiple memtests)
SOUND: Audigy Zs 2
HDD: Old 30GB WD IDE drive (I've also tried another 40GB WD IDE drive)

I have been unable to get the system to post with the FX 5500 PCI installed. I understand that it may just not be compatible, but I am hoping that there might be a fix. Is there maybe a BIOS setting that needs to change?

If one of those BIOSes matches your board and is more recent than what you have, it might be worth a try .

There is also this http://home.hccnet.nl/j.steunebrink/5ali61v15.zip from http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/k6plus.htm#patched

This is a BETA BIOS from another board manufacturer, supposedly compatible with RedFox AGP-ALI board .
It is much more recent, so it may have non documented fixes that would help . Hard to say without trying.
DISCLAIMER : I would not consider trying this unless you have a way to recover from a bad flash . (External programmer, ability to hotflash in another board) .
