It runs cooler and quieter than my gtx 470 and it's free my brother is getting a new card and giving me his EVGA 1650 super. The most demanding game I play is Kerbal Space Program.

I guess my previous post was a bit of misinformation since I decided it was a hardware issue and replaced the whole platform for ASUS TUF B360-PRO with new CPU and RAM only to find out my new stuff was not compatible with Windows 7 either. And only then I gave up and went for 10. Ended up with a nice new computer in the end, even though it was not exactly what I needed or wanted.

I’m glad everything worked out in the end for both of you - I’m shocked KSP even runs on a C2D, as I’ve tried to run it on my old e4700 and it was a choppy mess 😆
Windows 10 can be a pain but it’s for the best considering how 7 has been left for dead now, I still use it for games but that’s the most I do since hearing the horror stories people had using XP after EOL.

I’m off to another part of the forum trying to work out Win98, I’m too used to NT Windows, need some help out of this rabbit hole 😄

Ksp run great on it. While launching a big rocket I usually get around 33-38% cpu utilization and about 60% ram utilization and that's with everything at high settings at 1680x1050. The system still handles everyday tasks with ease.

I was pushing my C2D too far by asking it to run at 1440p 😄

I can see that happening 🤣. It really runs and looks great I can't even fathom how many hours I have spent playing that game it's my absolute favorite.
