So I ordered a slot 1 Piii from a reseller and wound up with a socket 370 cpu instead. Not that I'm not trying to get what I actually ordered as it was their mistake. This has me thinking towards future tinkering that a slotket that support fcpga chips would be useful. So far in my searches I've come up empty. So if any of you know of a good seller such an item, I would greatly appreciate a recommendation. FWIW I'm in the US.

Maybe they're rarer in US, but here in EU I keep seeing MSI MS-6905 master slockets going for very low prices completely NOS in original box.

There are a couple of them in Germany, number 323739000805 and 372630038677.
Not sure what the big difference is though, prices are not the same but the seller is...
Shipping cost = 12.95 euro for 1x, then 3.99 for the next one.
I'd suggest buying a handful of the cheapest one... 😁

PS: might be the the 'expensive' one comes with the retail box, and the cheaper one does not, judging by the pictures lower down on the pages... but who knows.
Better ask before ordering, I think.
