Hey guys! I just found 3 new old joysticks, unopened, for very little money!
Can you recommend some games for them? Here are the pics!
Joystick Maxxtro Tigon JSK210 (4 buttons)
Joystick Genius J-08 (2 buttons)
Joystick QuickShot Skyhawk (2 buttons)
Also, how can you connect and use 2 or more at the same time? (under MS-DOS (impossible?) and Win98SE)
For using 2 joysticks at the same time you will need either:
1. Gameport card with multiple ports - if you want to use more than 2 buttons per joystick / gamepad make sure you get one that supports more than 2 buttons per controller when hooking up 2 controllers.
2. Gameport card or soundcard and a joystick port splitter. You will usually only have 2 buttons on each joystick / gamepad this way.
Descent plays likes a completely different game when played with joystick+keyboard, I definitely recommend giving that a try! I find this to feel more like you are piloting a ship, compared with using mouse/keyboard.
The most comfortable layout I've found is:
Joystick (aiming):
Turn up/down/left/right & shoot
Keyboard (movement):
W: Accelerate
S: Decelerate
A/D: Slide left/right
Q/E: Roll left/right

Other than that, any space/flight sim just feels better with a good joystick imo. Wing Commander 1&2/Privateer, X-wing/TIE Fighter, etc., etc.
