I have some DIP memory that came of a 286 motherboard and I was wondering if I could use it on this ET4000 video card to extend it to 2MB. If this memory is not suitable for this video card, what memory should I get instead?

Thankfully the memory soldered onboard also matches speed grade on the new ones: 70ns
Faster can't do harm but slower mar result in instability or slow your card down (like the incompatible 41256 -80 ones you also have on your pucture)

Stuck at 10MHz...

Just check the orientation of each chip when you insert them into each socket.

Thanks for pointing that out. It difficult to see on the photo but the left hand side of the sockets have a tiny notch. Also, the back of the board, pin 1 with a square soldered pin, lines up with that side.
