If it does not show up in Device Manager or at PCI device enumeration, your only option AFAIK, is to try in another PCI slot .

If that does not work, you either have a dead SCSI card or it is somehow incompatible with your board . A motherboard BIOS update, if available, might help .

Updated bios to the latest version, tried different pcie slots, SCSI card works fine in other motherboards. But i need to make it work with this one, is it probably something with this specific chipset ?

According to this, you are not the only one with issues on Nforce with this SCSI card . https://www.newegg.ca/Product/SingleProductRe … unt=1&TabType=1

Is the SCSI card running latest firmware ?

Sorry about the link, probably some geo-location restriction. Basically, it's a comment from 2007 where somebody says "Other Thoughts: NForce Professional-based system refuses to boot from this card when a drive is plugged in. Drive works with other Adaptec controller without issue. Further research shows that many other PCI-e chipsets from NVidia and Intel refuse to work with this card."

As for the HBA firmware upgrade, I would check changelog and possibility of roll-back if it breaks something .

Well thanks for the info. Strange think that other old PCI SCSI card works just fine and the PCI-E SCSI card won't. Both cards are adaptec.
