- What are my options for slowing down a K6-2, and how slow can I go?
- How severely would a Pentium MMX bottleneck early Win98 gaming?

If it's not a K6-2+, you can only lower the FSB speed on the motherboard, or disable caches. The multiplier is locked.

A MMX233 will probably go up to around Quake2/Unreal, if you wan to play 1999 games like Half Life better upgrade to an Athlon/Duron system.
