I've been trying to find what type of motherboard I have. It doesn't seem to have many identifying marks, but I'm told it was likely intended to be a server.

I know the following about it:
-Was made by Technology Power Enterprise
-8 SIMM slots (should be expandable up to 16mb)
-8 16-bit ISA slots (one of which is longer than the others)
-Foxconn is written on the ISA slots
-I found it has "Made in Taiwan R.O.C." under the sticker between the ISA slots
-Other sticker had "TP Enterprise © 1989" under it
-AMI BIOS code: DINT-6132-040990-KF

Link to a few photos I've taken of the motherboard and an ad I believe for the board. Please let me know if other photos are needed.

It looks very similar to this board : https://www.ultimateretro.net/motherboards/1917

But it's not exactly the same ...

This company is recorded in our database (also the post string confirms it's the correct company) but your board isn't listed https://www.ultimateretro.net/motherboards/?m … ufacturerId=389

I'd be interested by a bios dump in order to have a backup available for anyone 😀

You need to pull off the two "Ami" chips ...
Now if your board turns on, you can run this piece of software instead http://cd.textfiles.com/microhaus/mhblackbox3 … MORY/GETROM.ZIP

Found some info on TPE here:
https://archive.org/stream/eu_BYTE-1991-02_OC … 02_OCR_djvu.txt

This:

TP386/33C: 8.3 MIPS

is having the same rating as the board in your advertisement.

By looking up "model no. tp386/33c" from the document brought up a site on OS/2 compatibility. I believe the computer I have is the "ARES TP 386/33 SONIC" as the ad did state the mobo had compatibility with OS/2 and the case that held the mobo had ARES on it.

Here is appropriate I think

It doesn't seem I can attach files that I got from the getrom program. Would there be a way to convert a file that is a type: file to some other format that Vogons would accept?
