I have an old pc with the following FIC VIA4386-VIO motherboard. Who can tell me what the latest BIOS version of that motherboard is and how big is the largest hard drive that this motherboard can use? If there is a newer version of the bios, where can I download it?

See some pictures of the board here

It's hard to say at the moment, but you can help us figuring this out by uploading your bios here 😀

My guess is that this bios let you use 504MB HDDs max, however you can probably get up to 128GB with XTIDE or a piece of software

Before checking your board picture I already thought it was the Highscreen OEM board from your bios version.

It looks like the FIC 4386VIO (that is what it is) is sharing its bios with the FIC 4386-VC-HD. There is version 2.0 available for that board.

I would advise to only flash another bios if you have an eprom programmer or another way to do a full bios recovery (hotflash in a similar board).
