Just an idea I think of for a bit of time now: use some piece of PCB to fit. Cut them out of some dead motherboard or have them baked. There are some really cheap bakers that could provide some more or less ok-ish PCBs, which make it look cool. It's like looking into a case stacked full with PCBs. They don't need to do anything but look cool.

OP doesn't own tin snips and a drill? Id probably get that aluminum tape and to cover the holes with then, the soup can wasn't a bad idea either.

The DB-9 plastic covers for the populated ports would be the same as come on the HD-15 vga cables. Never seen a cover for DB-25 size.

Some Dell computers that had onboard video and came with a video card came with pretty nice covers for the onboard vga. I might have a few somewhere but not sure.

Maybe. I'll need to check my cases first to see how many need covers. I'll check when I am back home next week.

that did cross my mind but unfortunately, i have no idea how to design for 3d printing or someone who could or owns a 3d printer but still nae a bad idea

mmm, didn't think of that and trying to picture it but at the same time i am think it will at back to case where it won't be seen unless turned around (weird old man alert 🤣 🤣 - coming from the mindset of someone , who believes that if can't be seen (which is why i never understand why there people who go all out with rgb lighting inside cases and on parts when it can't be seen once the case is close and looks tacky to me) 🤣 🤣) but each to their own 😀
