In few days I get a Toshiba Satellite 210CS to my laptop collection. My laptop goes with CD-ROM, but with no FDD. I find some variants. One of them is seems to be a PA2652U floppy drive. Original one is PA2611U. At first sight (as I can see it on photos) they have similar connector, but maybe any one have info about compatibility both of them? Can I use 2652 as a replace 2611? Maybe someone have such experience.

I do not know if they are compatible....
According to some websites: Toshiba Floppy Drive Part#: PA2611U and Toshiba Floppy Drive Case Part#: PA2652U.
So the PA2652U is the case model number not the internal drive number and it appears the internal drive is a 2611U....
Also it states: Compatible Models: Satellite 220CDS , Satellite 225CDS , Satellite Pro 440CDT , Satellite Pro 440CDX, etc.
No mention of the 210CS, so maybe the cable is different, the original 2611 case is different from the 2652 case.
Sorry could not be more help.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
