Sb16 (non pnp) didn't detected by any test progs in dos (sbtest, sbdiag), detected only adlib on 388 port. First, I'm checked quarts, capacitors, looks fine. Tried found info about creatives chips - a short info founded, that ct1746 is an ISA interface, so I'm decide to found donor card. Year later found one, almost the same ct1750...but, with dead 1746 chip (short circuit between 1 and 15 legs). I didn't know yet - chip or pcb is bad, and desolder chip to confirm it, yes, chip was dead. I didn't know what can i do else, and swap chip 1746 from my brocken ct2830 to donor ct1750...and - ct1750 is alive! All is work good, I'm already feel happy and decide exchange chip by chip from donor to my card. First exchange DSP ( a little differ v13 by v12, i thinking it is not important?!) - but same result, adlib work well, no sb found on any 2xx ports. ( BTW w/o dsp on the donor - same problem - adlib detect only). After that, my happy going to ass, I'm exchanged mixer ct1745, ct1741 and some small chips: ls32,74ls08, but same result: or completely fault, or adlib only. What can i do else to fix a card?
