Quick question - recently I came into owning a 1x SCSI Toshiba XM-3301BME from a DX2/66 system I picked up locally, Future Domain card and everything. Drivers load it up at boot but the tray is missing.

Looking around on eBay it seems that these are (visually, at least to me) the same. Are they one standard, or do I need a specific one?

Yes it is a universal fit, you could put all your cd-s in the caddy and hold them there permanently. In the old days data cd-s were precious.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

These old drives use the proprietary 3-pin Toshiba CD audio cable.

Weird, mine has the standard RGGL connector. I think I actually have a 3 pin somewhere though.

I'm actually going to put this in my 386SX for era-correctness sake, I don't think I'd be playing any music CDs off it anyhow. I am not 100% sure the RAdlib has a sound in port, but I also plan on putting my Crystal SB compatible soundcard in here, maybe I'll plug it into that.

Thanks all, I will now order a caddy for this drive.
