Hi,
I've got a problem.
I've got this motherboard: Medion MD5000 (aka. MSI MS-6701).
The motherboard is 20 pin ATX, and I'm using a Chieftec PSU from around 2004-2005 (it comes from an old Fujistu Siemens Scaleo X PC).
I've connected the PSU to the motherboard and I've left the 4 extra pins outside the connector, and the computer works and runs. But the PSU 24pin is also missing one pin, similar to this:

I've got some problems today; like after 30 mins of Prime95 I stopped and closed the app, and after 1 min or so the pc just randomly rebooted out of nowhere.
Also had a random reboot after I deleted a shortcut to a game on the desktop.
30 min of Prime95 (standard test) it gave me No errors, and the temps where fine (max load: 52c).
I know it might be something else, but my question is: can the problem be that I don't have my PSU connected to the the motherboard with a 24-pin to 20-pin adapter?
My setup:
OS: Windows 98SE with SE Service Pack 2.1a
CPU: Pentium 4 1.7GHz (socket 478)
RAM: 512mb RAM
Motherboard: MEDION Md5000 (latest bios)
Graphics: Creative 3D Blaster TNT2 M64 (AGP)
Soundcard: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 SB0350
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 41 GB
Kind regards!
