Hello, I'm going to need some clarification about a possible conversion of this motherboard and a full recap since it's full of tantalum caps and i'm afraid even to turn it on actually 😁

I counted on the motherboard (https://imgur.com/47fjB8D) a total of 13 caps:
10 16v 10uf (purple marks)
2 16v 4u7 (blue marks)
1 unidentified due to being too near an isa slot but I suppose to be another 16v 10uf.
That's for recapping, I have some concerns: the space between holes is really tiny and the electrolytic or polymer caps I found are bigger (I read that is normal since the tantalum caps are very efficient), which could be an issue. The ones I found that could fit are SMD caps and not THT, could they work fine with some tin on the holes (Panasonic EEEFP1C100AR) or any other workaround?
Second issue is that 4u7 I can't understand what it means maybe 47uf? 4uf 470uf?
Are the new tantalum caps suffering of the same problem of the older (exploding like a pop corn)?

Now that is what is needed to make it able to achieve the 3.3 cpu support (according to the guide I found there even if those are for newer revs):

  • LT1085CT or equivalent adjustable voltage regulator
  • N-channel power MOSFET, I used a STP16NF06L as suggested by user d0pefish in his 2.0 conversion
  • 2 x 10uf 16V and 2 x 1uf 16V tantalum capacitors
  • 330uf 16V electrolytic capacitor
  • 7407 hex buffer

That is what i'm gonna use:

  • LD1085V instead of the 1085CT since I wasn't able to find it, is this fine? The specs seem almost the same.
  • STP16NF06L: same as the guide
  • still deciding what to is doable to use instead of tantalum
  • PF1C331MNN0812 330 uf 16V cap
  • 7407 hex buffer on my rev has a different layout: https://i.imgur.com/66j8J94.jpg so I would need an advice about what to buy.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
