After the successful rebuilding of my NEC PC-8201A system I'd thought I'd try something a bit newer. In my HP/Compaq CQ62 I have a a battery pack that is totally dead and wont take a charge at all from my CQ62 desktop set up or notebook. HP Part number is is MU06 so quite readily available and used on quite a few models.

I used a series of jewelers flat blade screw drivers to pry open the rear curved edge then it was easy to work the forward edge open. Once opened pull the battery pack out. Just need to source suitable replacement cells now. Of course there well be those OEM system/parts suck ups that will say-That is bad. Naughty boy. I'm telling the OEM on you! I say "Fuck you!" 🤣.
