I have plenty of PCIe lanes in this HP Z420 PC I bought while ago so x4 or x8 SAS controller is fine but which controllers and what brands that is considered decent?

Reason is, I see decent SAS SSD drives out there to play with on ebay.

I know I need to get SAS cable splitters or two.
