Hello there!
I have a Thinkpad 310E (Type: 2600 from ~1997) in superb condition for which I'm looking for a replacement battery. Seems a bit hard to find since the device is 24 years young 😉 Crazy talk.
According to "twbook.pdf" from IBM its the FRU (part number) "11J8639".
All Google comes up with are 2-3 shady looking "Shenzen Shops". Would be grateful if somebody knew anything on this topic. Stupid me had thrown away the old battery a long time ago.
Should simply have done a cell replacement.
