Trying to read this in my TL866II but I'm having trouble figuring out the model/type.

ma013 on the chip is the mobo model

Do you already used other types (trying) to see if they might work.? If you choose the right one from the list which have the same pin-out you should be fine.

~ At least it can do black and white~

Hmm never seem an EEPROM on 386, most are EPROM with a UV window. Could be a "write once" EPROM w/o window. Is a 28pin DIP....
Most likely a 64K ROM like a M27C512. Choose one like that and uncheck the Check ID box and try to read it.
The MAo13 is an Edom motherboard

I knew a place where there were tons of IDs listed, but it's lost in one of my bookmarked tab ... which is in one of my backup at the moment. Let me dig tomorrow

I can get it to read as a 28C64 (amd)...but that's only 8K. Doesn't seem right for a 386.

Too small ! Did it read as a AMD am27C256 ? If not try TI TMS27C256 or Winbond W27E257 DIP 28, Make sure you choose DIP28 and be sure to uncheck the "Check ID" box before reading.
It could be a 128Kbitx8 or 32KB rom but most 386 used 256k (64KB). If above does not work try a AM27c128.
It would help if we knew what board it came from.....

Are you sure ? I was guessing from the MA013 you hinted at earlier. Here is the bare manual in .txt from http://edom.com/ back in 1999

Indeed, uncheck the "check ID" box nd you will be able to read as 27C256. No need to remove the Label from the Chip...

That worked! Thanks gang!
