Do anybody perhaps knows why this ISA controller card have special jumper settings for CP-344 and WD93048-A type drives and Supports CP-342 and 3022 type drives ?
As there is also a setting for normal operation? Why are the named drivers more special over the later drives?

I want to connect a conner CP30084e to it. 84 MB.

I had to set this controller to CP-344 and WD93048-A type drives for my CP30084e drive. On normal operation setting the drive had some fail issues on the bios setup program - hard disk utility could format it with normal operation mode.
But couldnt do a media analysis nor Auto interleave function in the bios setup. Is seems older ATA IDE drives uses a different methode to communicate with some other floppy harddisk controllers.
Iam guessing that normal operation mode would only work with later drive iam presumming..

I still only have one problem with this controller, it will operate on adress 370-377h (iam guessing its the secondary address?)
But it doesnt operate on factory setting address: 3F0-3F7h. (primairy??)

What could go wrong here?
